Notes: | [1] Originally published in Europe as MICROPROSE SOCCER. Distributed in the U.S. by Medalist Software. Original code and design by Sensible Software; Amiga conversion by Electronic Pencil. Game was endorsed by American goalkeeper Keith Van Eron, who played indoor/outdoor soccer professionally in the 1970s/80s.
[2] KEITH VAN ERON'S PRO SOCCER contains not only the international, outdoor 11-a-side version of the game, but also a popular, indoor 6-a-side variant played in North America. Inclusion of the indoor variant was requested by MicroProse for the original C64/128 release and its conversions to increase the game's appeal in the North American market.
[3] The game manual contains a short biography of Keith Van Eron; a history of soccer's beginnings, the World Cup & the growth of indoor soccer in the U.S.; and playing/coaching tips from Keith Van Eron and ex-teammate Drago Dumbovic. |
